With separate editions for Chapters and Clubs, the handbooks cut the waffle and are packed with great ideas and sound practical advice.

The Activity Section provides our Chapter/Club network with a choice of tried and tested scientific activities, giving them access to readymade ideas for its sessions. In the main, they are written by club leaders for club leaders!
The majority of the activities not only give information on what to do, but also provide details on the cost of the activity, worksheets, extension ideas, technical explanations and curriculum links.
A powerful search engine allows club leaders to specify exactly what type of activity they are looking for and club leaders can also give feedback on activities and suggest variations or extensions for them.
4. Challenges and Competitions
For Chapter/Club Leaders who want to stretch their members, OSIR's Amateur Scientists Chapter/Club will run several challenges for all ages, and supplies information on many other regional and national competitions.

OSIR's Amateur Scientists Chapter/Club has a few competitions which gives the Chapter/Clubs in our network, the opportunity to get the recognition they deserve:
- The Chapter/Club Awards competition rewards Chapter/Club who provides regular, quality scientific activities for their Members.
- The Leadership Award allow us to reward the effort of the individuals in the network whose sacrificed spare time and hard work have kept the Amateur Scientists coming back for more!
- Most innovative project will receive an Award for the Best Project Idea once been selected by the project ideas committee of OSIR, from all the projects completed during the same year.
- The Membership Award is for those members who have willingly put into their quality time into work and brought Credits for the same. This Award is for that member who has earned the most number of Credits in his/her entire group for one academic year.
9. Newsletter
For those in OSIR's Amateur Scientists Chapter/Club network who use the web regularly, we provide a weekly newsletter and can send out brochures of all our competitions. Members of all OSIR's Amateur Scientists Chapter/Club are welcomed to give in their own reports, columns, news, etc. in the newsletter.
10. Media Coverage
Being a member of the OSIR's Amateur Scientists Chapter/Club network enables you to gain media exposure for your club and parent organization (i.e. your school or youth group). You can publicize photos of club activities on our website, link your club website to our own and gain local and national media coverage through entering your club into competitions. The OSIR's Amateur Scientists Chapter/Club network also believes in providing public platform for projects or inventions of members in form of appropriate media exposure to secure sponsorships or scholarships for their members.

It will also have day to day events of OSIR's Amateur Scientists Chapter, Club and its Members, along with this there will be articles, reports and other essential information about science and its use in our daily lifestyle. For members who don’t have appropriate credits for shopping online or for those members who don’t want to use their credits for shopping, we bring you a system for paying for the goods you shop without Credit Cards.* Currently available in not all countries.

OSIR's Amateur Scientists Chapter/Club network members are entitled to discounts kindly provided by some of our sponsors and partner companies. These discounts help to ease the financial burden on members and we are working hard to keep increasing the range of discounts available to our members.

At many instances young scientists and students are unable to attend or participate in various competitions due to lack of monetary funds. The OSIR's Amateur Scientists Chapter/Club network will provide its members with the facility to gain Sponsorship via its varied Sponsorship programs to attend competitions. The OSIR's Amateur Scientists Chapter/Club network, on behalf of its members, will conduct negotiations with Corporate for required sponsorships.
20. Donation Programs
OSIR's Amateur Scientists Chapter/Club network has various Donation Programs which are solely meant for collecting money to facilitate members to make projects for scientific competitions or innovate for scientific advancement without any monetary limitations.
21. Legal Assistance
OSIR will provide assistance to its members to copyright or patent their research work or inventions or innovations or development to secure their rights and achievements.
